Shan Chen (Ph.D. Candidate) has been awarded an Ontario Research and Development Challenge Fund Scholarship as well as an Ontario Graduate Scholarship in recognition of her scholarly research. Shan's thesis looks at the impact of market uncertainty on investment decisions and asset valuations in the context of natural resource industries in general, and lumber and crude oil in particular.

XiaoYan Lin (Ph.D. Candidate) has been awarded the University of Waterloo Meloche Monnex Graduate Scholarship in Quantitative Finance and Insurance. Xiao Yan is in the first year of her Ph.D. program.
